The Tufts Health Plan High School Inspirational 3K
Race Start Time 12:15 p.m.
Tufts Health Plan is proud to once again be a part of the CVS Downtown 5K festivities by sponsoring the High School Inspirational 3K! To promote the importance of exercise and having fun, student athletes from all high schools in Rhode Island and southern New England are invited to form school running teams. All participating high school teams are eligible to:
- Win a $500 grant for your school,
- Win new uniforms for your track team,
- Prove you have more school spirit than everyone else!
Who can participate?
The high school teams can be co-ed and do not have to be part of the track team. All participating high schools will be eligible for ten random drawings for a $500 cash grant from Tufts Health Plan. All the runners will receive a t-shirt and a goody bag. Entry fees will be waived for all high school teams that enter online.
School Spirit Costume Contest
Show your school spirit by entering our School Spirit Costume Contest. Be creative, have fun, and prove that you have more school spirit than everyone else! The most spirited team will win new track uniforms for your school (up to $750 value) and bragging rights. The judges will be looking for
So bring those capes, wigs, pom-poms, and cheers! Meet us on the Statehouse steps for pictures and judging from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. Each participant will receive a stopwatch from Tufts Health Plan while they last. See full contest rules here.

Tufts Health Plan is committed to improving the health of the community and supporting youth and local running events. As the sponsor of this race we hope to offer a fun way to re-enforce the message that sports activities and a healthy lifestyle go hand-in-hand. We are pleased to be part of this fun event and hope to help inspire high school students to reach their goals!!
