The 2005 USATF Men\'s 5K National Championship Athletes will be competing for both individual and team champion honors.

INDIVIDUAL CHAMPIONSHIP:

USA Championships are limited to US citizens only. To be eligible for championship awards, including prize money, athletes must have current - 2005 - USATF membership and be a US Citizen. Top placers also earn points in the 2005 USA Road Circuit scoring. There is no further entry requirement beyond those of the race. The top 6 individuals will receive USA Championship medals. The top 10 eligible USA athletes will also receive prize money. USA Championship Prize Money: 1st-$5000 2nd-$3000 3rd-$2000 4th-$1500 5th-$1000 6th-$900 7th-$700 8th-$500 9th-$300 10th-$100

TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP:

The USATF Team Championship is scored on the basis of the total time of the top five finishers. Teams must enter their runners individually, as well as declare their teams. Declaration is the process of stating the list of the a club's runners who may figure in their club scoring. A club must declare up to max of 8 possible scorers for a mens team and 5 for a women's team. In the mens race the top 5 club members will be used to score by time. In the womens race the top 3 club members will be scored by time. Declaration cards will be available at registration on Saturday, and on Sunday until 30 minutes before the race start. ((**This may also be done online**)) Team scoring is limited to USATF member clubs. All team members must be US citizens In addition, all declared club members must also be individual USATF members.
